WHEELS FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES
OMO Rocarr has developed a series for uses in very hard conditions. The result of this project is a line of products designed specifically for heavy industry and environments characterized by high temperatures. The temperature resistance is given by the use of special materials, able to ensure resistance to deformation even under the most trying conditions of use. Particular attention has been paid to find the right balance between high strength and ease/fluency of use. Due to its particular characteristics, all the wheels of the range are suitable for use on hard and compact floors, but are unsuitable for fragile floors. They are designed for all professionals industries in which the presence of furnaces, refrigerators or foundries requires tools with high resistance to the environmental conditions.
A first type of wheel is made of heat resistant phenolic resin, a particular type of thermosetting synthetic material. It has a very high static load capacity and at the same time is characterized by a high resistance to corrosion and aggressive chemicals. However, is not resistant to strong acids and alkaline solutions. It can be exposed to high temperatures ranging from -40 ° C up to +280 ° C without losing its properties.
This extreme resistance makes them very suitable for use in the food industry and in ovens for cooking, especially in bakeries and industrial or retail bakery. They can be used without problems on floors with tiles and cement resin, but are partially suitable for use in case of rough flooring, abrasive or with the presence of solid residues of processing.
A second variant of the range is constituted by the wheels made in nylon and reinforced by glass fiber, in order to considerably increase the resistance to high temperatures. This allows a resistance at temperatures between -20 ° C and +130 ° C without alteration of its characteristics. This wheel is suitable for static use and run on smooth and compact floors, handling average loads but not particularly heavy. They are also perfectly suitable for frequent washing and sterilization processes. The wheels in nylon and glass fiber are characterized by excellent fluency guaranteed by a minimum pushing force required. They are ideal for surfaces like tiles, cement, and resin cement. But they are not suitable for fragile flooring as they may stain and scratch the surface.

The third type of high temperatures wheel is made of red silicone rubber, a particular elastomer able to resist to high temperatures without being aggressive for the flooring . It doesn't leaves traces and have good resistance to abrasion, chemical agents, degradation and corrosion.
The silicone rubber is resistant to temperatures ranging from a minimum of -30 ° C up to a maximum of +250 ° C ( for a maximum period of 30 minutes). The wheel is realized through a flange in galvanized sheet steel, to ensure a further factor of heat resistance. They are the ideal for all bakery ovens, where high temperatures require a specific equipment. The excellent elasticity ensures good sliding even on rough floors, and is also characterized by a reduced noise level compared to the phenolic resin variant. Especially suitable for floors with tiles, cement and resin cement, but not recommended in the case of fragile floor or with residues of production.

The range also includes wheels made from heat resistant rubber with a hardness of 80 Shore A, whose specifications allow the wheel to withstand temperatures between -20° C and +130° C for short periods of time. The wheels are made with a core of die-cast aluminum, which ensures solidity and strength to the whole structure, a feature of great importance for hot environments. Also ensure good maneuverability due to the fluency characteristics typical of rubber wheels, with a normal noise level. They are the ideal solution for industries with the presence of kilns and are suitable for frequent movements but with short thermal exposure.
